The factory rotary setup requires opening machine panels, unplugging the Y-axis, to plug the rotary & reversing the process when done using it. The Rotary Interface Upgrade Kit eliminates all of that.
Most importantly, this kit unlocks true freedom: it allows the use of any high-end, universal 4-pin, 2-phase rotary, so you can choose the rotary that fits your workflow.
