Your Questions. Answered.

Everything you need to know about choosing, customizing, and setting up your Tico Laser Safety Enclosure.

Sizing & Compatibility

What size enclosure do I need for my laser?
The TL Classic™ 700 is recommended for laser towers up to 650 mm tall. For towers over 700 mm, choose the TL XL™ 920. If your tower falls between those sizes or you are unsure, contact us before ordering so we can help confirm the right enclosure.
Will the enclosure fit my specific laser?
Every enclosure is customized using the measurements you submit through our Laser Measurement Guide. We use those dimensions to prepare the appropriate openings and configuration for your laser.
Will my laser be fully enclosed?
No. Tico Laser enclosures are designed to surround the laser’s working area rather than the entire machine. Fully enclosing the laser could restrict airflow around critical components, increasing the risk of overheating. It would also require a significantly larger structure, substantially increasing material and shipping costs. Our design balances practical protection, proper airflow, and affordability. Note: Our enclosures are not airtight and should always be used with proper fume extraction and laser safety practices.

Extraction & Laser Safety

What size extraction port do I need?
We recommend a 4-inch extraction port, which is the most common choice. We can customize the port size to match your setup. Ports up to 4 inches are located on the rear panel; ports larger than 4 inches must be placed on a side panel.
Are the viewing windows laser-safe? Are different windows needed for UV and fiber lasers?
Our viewing windows are OD6 laser-rated cast acrylic across 300–1064 nm, covering common 355 nm UV and 1064 nm fiber lasers. The same window material is used for both. The clear viewing area is approximately 190 mm wide × 290 mm high. Confirm your laser operates within the specified wavelength range.
Why aren’t the enclosures airtight?
Our enclosures are intentionally not airtight, allowing fresh air to enter and support airflow toward your extraction system.
Does the enclosure include an extraction system?
No. The enclosure includes the specified extraction port, but the external extraction equipment is not included.

Customization & Accessories

Can the doors open in the opposite direction?
Yes! We can configure the doors to open in either direction. Include your preference in the Additional Notes section of the Laser Measurement Guide.
Can I add openings for air assist lines or cables?
Absolutely. We can add one or two small openings for air assist lines, cables, or similar needs at no additional charge. Describe the locations and requirements in the Additional Notes section of the measurement form.
Can I request special modifications?
Yes. Because our enclosures are built to order, we can often accommodate custom configurations. Minor openings are generally included; more extensive modifications or numerous additional ports may cost extra. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
Can accessories be added after purchase?
Most upgrades that require panel modifications, such as rotary access panels and top ventilation fans, must be selected when ordering. Every enclosure, however, is prepared with the openings needed for LED lighting, so compatible lighting can be added later.
Are the LED lights already installed?
No. The optional lighting kit is installed by the customer during assembly. It includes a COB LED strip with a touchless hand-gesture control for turning the light on or off and adjusting brightness. You may also install your own compatible LED lighting.

Ordering, Measurements & Production

What happens after I place my order?
After checkout, you’ll be directed to our Laser Measurement Guide. Complete it with your laser dimensions and any special requests. We review your submitted measurements before preparing your enclosure for production.
How accurate do my measurements need to be?
Accurate measurements are essential! We intentionally allow a small amount of extra clearance for minor variations, but errors greater than 3 mm can affect proper fitment. If incorrect measurements cause a fitment issue, a replacement rear panel may be required at an additional cost. Please double-check your measurements before submitting the form; contact us if you need help.
When do you start building my enclosure?
We begin the production process after receiving and reviewing your completed Laser Measurement Guide.
Why does it take approximately two weeks to ship?
Every Tico Laser enclosure is individually built to order using your measurements and selected options. Typical production time is approximately two weeks after we receive your completed measurement form, plus shipping time.

Assembly & Portability

Does the enclosure arrive fully assembled?
No. It arrives semi-assembled, with the main panels already assembled for easy setup.
Is the enclosure difficult to assemble? Are instructions included?
Assembly is straightforward and typically takes about 15 minutes. We provide downloadable PDF instructions and reference videos to guide you through the process.
Can I move the enclosure? How much does it weigh?
Yes. Our enclosures can be relocated when needed. Approximate weights are: TL Classic™ 700 single-door, 29 lb; Classic two-door, 32 lb; TL XL™ 920 single-door, 34 lb; XL two-door, 36 lb. Weight may vary slightly with selected accessories.

Cancellations, Returns & Support

Can I cancel my order?
You may request cancellation within 24 hours of submitting your completed measurement form, provided manufacturing has not begun. Once manufacturing starts and materials have been cut, the order cannot be canceled.
Can I return my enclosure? What if it arrives damaged or has a manufacturing error?
Because each enclosure is custom-made, we cannot accept returns for a change of mind. If your enclosure arrives damaged or an error was made during manufacturing, we will replace the affected components at no additional cost.
